On Smiling

People say I smile. I understand it is just an observation in some cases and in others, a little of racialization. I was thinking the other day, besides race, culture and other factors, peoples' smiles are defined by when they learned to smile. Some have the smile of a boy or a girl, others that of a teenager or grownup who modified their smile to their changing face in front of a mirror. I like people who smile, totally native.

Would like to see a similar post "On Laughing". I think there are many more ways of laughing than smiling! A survey said that a child laughs about 40 times a day on average. An adult compares very poorly at 4 times on average.

Muthu,

Smiles are very comforting! I always smile when I meet someone. It just comes naturally to me!

psychologists say that non verbal communication goes a long way in determining our interaction and I guess a smile is just one form of non verbal communication!
