A+B

There is broccoflower, a cross between Broccoli and Cauliflower (from Northern Italy, according to Whole Foods). Some say nectarines are a cross between plums and peaches, but there is no evidence of this on the web. Recently I got to eat a cross between a flaky croissant and a dense, chewy Pretzel, yum!

Broccoli and cauliflower are the same species of plant, so this is a cross in the same sense as, say, a combination of Golden delicious + Granny Smith apples.

We can thank Mel Brooks' "2000 Year-Old Man" in part:

“I would rather eat a rotten nectarine than the best peach in the world!”

"half a peach, half a plum, that's a hell of a fruit"
