BRIC conferences
Two upcoming meetings are interesting (anything in B and I?):
- The 7th Intl CS Symposium in Russia, July3--7. Opening lecture by Vijay Vazirani and Piotr Indyk is an invited speaker
- China theory week at Aarhus, Aug 13--17. Invited talks by Christos Papadimitriou, Vijay Vazirani and Eric Allender.

The China Theory Week speaker list seems sparse this year. There seem to be 0 students from MIT and Stanford, for example. I wonder why?
I'm curious. Why do you always use people's first names (or in this case their first names followed by their initial)? Readers who do not work in theory full time may not know everyone you are talking about.

I thought you meant BRICS conferences and was about to point out to you that nowadays MADALGO is the preferred term.
