Not quite a puzzle

You browse, detect an assistant professor's homepage, and discover the exhausting list of papers, PCs, CV, yaada yaada yaada and then hit a wall, a year, a date, after which there are only sporadic updates or none at all. Guess what happened? This is not a koan. :)

Three immediate, obvious options:

1. Departmental arch-nemesis becomes chairperson
2. Industry came a-knockin'
3. The van was a-rockin'

tenure.

He should have added a note: "Will be updated when applying for full professorship"

My pages are about a year and a half out of date, but this is not because of tenure which happened a few years before that. My guess is that at some point one gets sufficiently busy with administrative stuff that the homepage update cycle suffers.
